Movie and TV discovery app
Shipped a React Native/TypeScript movie and TV discovery app with streaming availability, title details, personal watchlists, and Firebase authentication. Deployed its C#/.NET API and PostgreSQL on AWS EC2 with Docker and a Caddy reverse proxy, plus an AWS Lambda function for streaming availability.
Discovery and watchlists
Implemented movie and TV discovery, title details, streaming availability, and personal watchlists in the mobile app.
API and content pipeline
The TypeScript and Expo frontend uses Firebase authentication. A C#/.NET API handles content, while an AWS Lambda function fetches popular streaming titles.
Cloud deployment
The API and PostgreSQL run on an AWS EC2 VM with Docker and a Caddy reverse proxy.
The original classroom frontend was created with Joseph Slade and Truc Lam Ho. I developed the current app, API, and Lambda function.
